Hi, thanks for reading our first blog post. I needed to find a way to
keep you all up to date on whats going on here. First, if you have not
filled out your volunteer profile online, please do so here:
https://www.volgistics.com/ex/portal.dll/ap?AP=830438282 We have a new
one that is for fosters that will be up soon, but for now please
fosters should use the same form as other volunteers.
As some of you may know, Cathy has her hands full with C4H. As such,
Cathy is no longer running the volunteer program and we are looking
for a volunteer to take it over. If you are interested in helping
facilitate our volunteer program, please let us know!
So here is what is going on here today:
We have applications on all of our kittens. The two black ones have
upper respiratory infections, but they are on the mend, and will go
home as soon as they are well. The white kittens are just finishing
being treated for skin issues, and can also leave soon. 3 new kittens
will be going into foster homes today, but we would love to get 4 more
kittens into foster. Foster time is 2-3 weeks max, and we can give you
cat food, litter box, and toys. All you need to provide is the litter.
In less happy news, our adult cats in the big kitty room may have been
exposed to a harsh upper respiratory infection. We have been watching
them closely. So far, they are all acting very healthy. We have one
more week to watch them for any signs of the infection, and we are
eager to give them the all clear. So far so good!
We have taken in a few new dogs recently, and some need fostering. Do
you want to give a dog a temporary home?
Falcor- a young wolf hound mix, Heart worm positive and needs crate
rest. He can get a little nervous at the shelter and will need a home
that can help teach him basic dog skills.
Heidi- has been with us for a long time but shows so badly in a cage.
Right now, she is sitting in the office, and has not made a peep. She
is sweet as pie and just naps. Her tail looks like a helicopter every
time the staff talks to her or scratches her ears. She could use a
shelter break!

to what goes on here. If you need anything or have any questions, I
